Retail Associate and Archery Technician
Seeking a highly-skilled Retail Store Associate / Archery Technician for a 30+ year-old Sporting good and Archery Pro-Shop, Firearm / Fishing departments, Bar Lounge, Live Bait Shop, and 30 yard indoor archery Range. Applicants must have a great personality, unmatched skills, a passion for business and the outdoors, and have a particular interest in hunting, archery, firearms, and fishing.

Applicant should have archery shooting, bow technician experience, firearm and fishing knowledge and a love for the outdoors as well as retail store background with strong computer and social media skills.

This individual will be responsible for providing excellent service to our valued customers and able to perform technical archery tuning and bow maintenance. This position requires a detailed, team-minded leader, who brings a positive, enthusiastic attitude to the workplace every day. Full-Time position: Monday - Saturday from (Varies by time of the year) Flexible availability – including nights, weekend, and holidays
Retail/Tech Duties include, but not limited to:

• Providing exceptional customer service experience for all patrons, beginning with a friendly introduction and greeting. Demonstrate and promote a strong work-ethic with a professional appearance and attitude for self and staff. Ability to create and maintain long-term relationships with clientele, while protecting and developing company image. Staff the store as needed during busy times / seasons. 
• Skilled in leadership, coaching, and training, sales generation, strategic planning, authentic customer service, conflict resolution, business acumen, time management, POS terminals, and general retail software proficiency
• Knowledge of all products and the ability to recommend proper equipment applications. Setting up and maintaining displays and store merchandise, with adjustments as needed. Stocking shelves, tables, end caps and walls with appropriate products, while maintaining stock levels at all times.
• Help with managing and developing the growth of each department. Contract staffing, including but not limited to, instruction, leagues, parties, and events.
• Growing and developing Pro-Shop services and offerings by providing flawless service and repairs with the goal of increasing profits. Performing Tech services, including cutting/fletching arrows, accessory installation, bow tuning, repairs, scope mounting, bore sighting, fishing line installation, and an overall technician level of experience for all departments. Ensuring that personal skill-sets and tech-training are current and up-to-date ensuring knowledge of current equipment technologies.
• Knowledge of sales judgment, developing sales, and managing margins, profits and loss of all departments, to ensure inventory and cash-flow alignment.
  • P&L statement processing and reporting
• Monthly marketing proposals with budgets, execution of those plans and reports on plan success. Also included are the development and planning of “brand” management program.
  • Managing and developing scheduled marketing and sales to be coordinated with specific season and events.
  • Willingness to attend trade and buyer shows/events 1-2 times per year.
  • Manage and orchestrate charitable and organizational events with owner approval.

• Managing all current online presences and company store website(s)
  • Developing complete online stores for all departments at Butch’s Archery
    • Developing complete online sales outlets for older, stale products and/or "special buys".
• Managing all social media accounts and promoting social media presence on a weekly basis.

• Ability to meet Federal requirements for handling and processing firearm transactions.
  • Process and manage all firearm Store and Online sales, and appropriate paperwork for this process.
• Programing department orders by season and within set budgets.
  • All budgets submitted and approved by ownership
• Communicating weekly, Monthly, quarterly budget projections to actual income statements.
• Overseeing and executing preventive maintenance and building / ground repairs as needed / required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., perform frequent standing, walking, repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and climbing ladders
• Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which includes closing, weekend, and some holiday shifts.
  • Develop and manage employee schedules with coverage of all hours store is scheduled to be open.
  • General manager is expected to work a minimum of (1) weekend per month during off season and every other during peak season requirements.
